Hello readers!
I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately....this has been a crazy time! BUT I'M GOING TO DISNEY!
I worked out a deal with my dad where I would have to do work until I can pay off the trip. I'll have to do things like sell stuff on ebay (which I'm not looking forward to) but at least I'll get to go! I just have to make sure I do enough to pay off my trip!
I'm very happy about that of course; my dad just said he "wants me to make an effort". Yeah. Ok. Sure. But I'm going and that's all that matters :)
SO
Now it's time to talk about something I don't get to talk much about. The "R" word- religion.
Religion is a complicated thing is it not?
There are so many different things to believe in, and so many ways to show your faith.
I, for one, am a Methodist. Here's a page about it for those of you who do not know what a Methodist is.

Religion is tough in my family because my mom (was/is) a catholic and my dad was a Methodist. Almost everyone on my dad's side is Methodist except for him and my aunt- they gave up on going to church when I was little.
Now, I want to be the type of person that goes to church regularly, but my parents were never too worried about it. I go to church occasionally with my grandparents, but that's about it.
Now, my confirmation is coming up (my church is really late with it!!) and I'm going to do it. I'm a little nervous, but I'm also looking forward to it. I think I'll feel like a true christian, plus, my grandma is extremely proud of me.
She says that having a religion keeps her confident, and that if I believed in something, I would be a much happier person. She says that the real reason that her and my grandpa bonded when they first met is because they both had strong belief in their faith.
What I love most, is that my family isn't forcing me into anything. They want me to attend confirmation, but they're not forcing me to do it, and they won't be angry if I decide to not join the church. They just want me to learn about it and hopefully get a good education from it. Honestly though, if I could choose what religion I liked the most, it would be the Methodists. They're not complicated, and they welcome pretty much anyone. They are a very forgiving church and I like that about them. I can 99% guarantee that I will join the church, but if I don't, I know my family is still behind me.
Tell me about what you believe in. Do you go to church? Synagogue? Mosque? Some other holy place of worship?
I want to know!
Or...
You may not believe in anything. If you do, tell me that too! I don't talk about religion much so I'm curious about other people.
Thanks guys!
