I am going through a ton of friend problems right now.
I am kind of trying to switch "friend groups" (that's a nicer name for cliques that my older group uses instead of cliques)
According to my older group, we're the cool kids (I'm sorry guys...no we're not)
Now I'm moving into the "nerd group"
One of my newish best friends is there and she is an amazing person. She is so kind, understanding, funny, UGH!
Anyways, she asked me to sit with them, and I wanted I to. I want to get to know the people there because they love to read (like me!), they're probably the nicest people in our grade, and I just want to get to know more people this year.
I sat with my new group all week except one day when I sat at my old table because it was one of my friends' birthday.
The people is my original group of friends are funny; I think that's what drew them to me in the first place. I still love (most of) the people in my old table- I just don't like the way that they're changing. One of my friends literally said "whoa! that's so lamel! She's going to be so unpopular next year."
That comment just disgusted me. AND A BUNCH OF PEOPLE AT OUR TABLE AGREED! I was shocked!
I thought she was kidding, because I COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT HOW POPULAR I AM OR HOW POPULAR OTHER PEOPLE ARE and I thought that most people felt that way. Apparently not.
This is just one of the smaller friend problems this year. I will probably write more about my groups again at some other point.
Anyways,
Thank you for reading this first real post. I want your opinion on what you think of my first post in general, my sudden switch of tables, any friend drama you're going through...... anything!
Thanks again!
